It would probably be right around/after Call to Arms though. Which ones do you guys use? And which are your favourites? Rank away! I am curious to see which master spells get use and which ones people actually like.Įdit: I hear Guardian Circle can be used pretty well in certain builds, I just rarely go past Adept level Restoration, so I can't really rank it on a list of the best/my favourite master level spells. It's a bummer they didn't make more of the master spells very useful. So those are the only ones I really ever end up using (1-4 primarily). I could see it being worthwhile to perk Master Illusion for this spell if it fit your build (pacifist maybe?), I just haven't found it worthwhile for any of my characters that use Illusion. The thing is generally characters I (and many others) have that use Illusion are stealth based (Assassins or Nightblades), and with those classes I seldom if ever use followers. I suppose it's good if you are using followers. Especially if you can make ones that increase your spell damage by 150%+.Ĭall to Arms - This is sort of an honourable mention since I rarely use this I one myself. Lightning Storm - Useful direct damage spell when combined with alchemy destruction potions. And about 35-40% of the game's hostile NPCs are undead in some form.
Storm Atronach are the same level as their thrall counterparts, so no need to use the Storm Thrall over them IMO.įire Storm - When buffed with Alchemy destruction potions or Shalidor's scrolls, it can end up doing insane AoE damage, especially to undead due to the burn taper and their weakness to fire. If I go the Oblivion/Soul Cairn summons route, I tend to use Dremora/Wraithman the most, so the other thrall spells aren't worth it.
You can make some killer Thralls like Orchendor, Ulfric, Chief Yamarz, Forsworn Ravagers, Master Conjurers/Necromancers, etc. High casting cost, but with perks and enchantments you can reduce it drastically.ĭead Thrall - Only Thrall spell I really use. Which spells would you say are worth going for master level perk? (Of course it all depends on what fits your build, I am merely talking overall.)ĭragonhide - If you are playing a squishy pure mage type, this spell is a near must for master/legendary end game play (assuming you want to stay away from armor). As we all know a lot of the master level spells lack usefulness/power.
